How to delegate or redirect Gmail inbox to another email address

Gmail delegation is just like having alternative mail in other word we can say it is gmail redirection ...

but in the case of delegation the delegated email will have access to your gmail account. he will be able to read and reply your messages and send message to who ever via your real mail but cannot access your account settings and recovery option.

Gmail delegation is great especially when you have a concentrated mail I.e an email you pay more attention to you can delegate it to your other mail so as to get your inbox readable since your easily login the account to other once.

How to delegate or redirect your gmail address

Sign in your gmail account

Select settings and account -Import tab option

From the current window select grant access to your email account section

Now click on add another account and input the email you want to redirect your inbox to... Note that when you are using your gmail for company it might not work so in this case you have to get in touch your your admin

Click on send email to grant access and invitation will be sent to selected mail once accepted it is all set now the selected mail can manage your inbox unbehalf of you

these may not be automatically activated you may have to Wait for at least 24 hrs for activation.

To revert the delegation just follow the same activation process you will see the activated mail and the delete option........

Note the above tutorial can be done when your gmail is viewed in pc version so in case you are using mobile phone you can still do it by Viewing gmail pc version on mobile next tutorial
