How to redirect and Undo a redirected wapka site

Redirecting your wapka site to another site is as simple as ABC but could be harmful if not properly planned

When a site is redirected you stand a chance of loosing the whole site contents and features when the redirection code is placed on the headtag section of your site.

You can redirect from one page of your site to another or from one forum to another and also you can redirect the entire site.this is mostly done when you have gotten a new platform and you don't want to loss your precious visitors you can easily redirect the whole site to your new page.

How to redirect wapka sites
Login your wapka admin mode and click on edit site button Select global settings from the listed options .

Now click on the headtag /meta CSS area and paste bellow wapka redirecting code

From the above just change my site Lin to yours or any page you want to redirect the existing page to.and your site will automatically be redirected the the link you added to the code.

Note : you cannot restore your site once the redirecting code is placed in your headtag . so if you still want to make use of the site in some other time and you want it to be temporary then you have to put the code in your homepage via Wml/HTML section of your site.

With this when people visit your sites homepage they will be redirected but other pages will still be working. so later if you want to remove the redirecting code from the homepage bellow is how you do it.

How to undo wapka homepage redirection

Login your wapka admin mode and click on admin mode But before it finish loading quickly copy the url you will see it as bellow

http://wealthyhome.wapka.mobi/index.xhtml?hash=c58e799ac574553719e8dbdeba5da2

From the above URL edit it and turn it to something like bellow

http://wealthyhome.wapka.mobi/site_2.xhtml?hash=c58e799ac574553719e8dbdeba5da2

Now enter the URL and you will be taken to page 2

reason you do this is that if you don't change the I'd you will be taken to your sites homepage and having putting the redirect code in your homepage I.e you are going to be redirected instead of editing your site so changing the I.d to 2 or any other site ID as shown above will make you land in another page instead of the home page which has been redirected already.

Now let say you have landed in page two (2) just scroll down you will see the edit Site button click on it and You will see all the wapka building tools.

From here Click on edit items and copy the URL immediately before the page finish loading

now let say you get something like this in your URL....

wealthyhome.wapka.mobi/edit_2.xhtml?action=edit_pro&hash=ccd900dcd00ddb18adb32fb7651a36

Just change the 2(two) to zero because you want to edit your homepage after changing it reload the URL and you will see all the codes that make up your homepage just scroll through them and find the redirecting code.

Note instead of clicking on edit items you can also click on delete items all works the same but always remember changing the URL ids as explained above

Having red through all of the above you should be able to know that if you paste the redirect code in your head tag that means you can't manage the site again. I.e the site is equally permanently redirected and there is nothing you can do to undo it, but if you put the code in your homepage via wml/HTML you can undo it with the above tutorial any time you want.
